My favourite small rally of the year is undoubtedly the 'Get Stoned with the Sword' rally at the Square & Compass at Darley Bridge. Hosted by Excalibur MCC it's good people, good times and a good weekends partying guaranteed.

Despite a sunny Friday it soon became colder than a pimps heart as evening drew in. Seeking warmth in the two nearby pubs followed by a jig about to the bands soon took the chill off. Three bands kept the beer tent rocking but most worthy of note was Friday's solo artist Ben Miles. I took the opportunity to buy a CD off his Mum (bless her) as she proudly sat with a bunch of bikers partying around her as Ben played a cracking blues set. Check out his FB page here

As always thanks to Excalibur MCC for a great weekend. See ya next time round.
