Trucker Diablo @ The Corporation

From the first time I heard "Drink Beer, Destroy" on Todd Bugs' Barstool Preacher show I've been hooked on these guys and when I heard they were playing my local rock club a ticket was instantly purchased.

Trucker Diablo have a big classic rock sound with plenty of reference to trucks, beer and women. With this in mind you could be forgiven that they are an American band. If so you'd be making the same mistake as yours truly. I was gobsmacked when front man Tom Harte greeted us with an Irish accent. Then in total contrast to their soft spoken introduction they rocked the roof off the small stage at the Corporation.

Current album "Songs Of Iron"  follows up 2010's debut "The Devil Rhythm", both albums are quality hard rock from start to finish although Devil Rhythm remains my favourite.
Great guys, great songs and a great night. Definitely on my must see again list.

A Weekend in the Lake District

After having such a great weekend in the Lakes for our anniversary we went again. This time round we stopped in a cabin at Limefitt Park. Set in a beautiful location near Troutbeck with friendly staff and a pub on site and easily accessible bridleways for a stroll in the country.
Our base was conveniently situated below Kirkstone pass which made for a cracking ride up to Ullswater then over to Keswick
